It came to the attention of the local authorities that some websites are offering a "cash upon arrival" option for transportation services. Please be aware that NO COMPANIES other than the concession at the airport is AUTHORIZED to receive "cash payments." Here are some samples of complaints we have received regarding "cash payments."
- I booked a service for $55.00 cash upon arrival to the to the Cancun Airport and ended up paying $80.00.
- I paid "cash" for a round trip service and they never showed up for my return. I had to pay $106.00 dollars extra and almost missed my flight.
- Our driver was arrested right outside the airport for not being eligible to pick up passengers. We lost our money and had to pay again.
- No one came to pick up us at the airport; we were stuck there for hours.
- We forgot a bag in the van and they charged us for bringing it back to our hotel... cash of course!
- The lower rates for "cash payment" were too good to pass them up... big mistake!
- ...their rate for cash was less than everybody else's, but when I arrived to the airport they added some "airport fees," what are those?
Please keep in mind that the airport IS NOT responsible if you pay "cash" upon arrival to an unauthorized company and you WILL LOSE your money. If a transportation website offers you the option to pay "cash" is usually because they are not legal nor authorized to pick up passengers at the airport and they will try to sneak you out and take your money. Please be AWARE!

In two easy steps you can find out what types of services are available and how much they cost. This is by far the most convenient and economical way to reserve a transfer to your hotel. In addition, when you arrange your transportation online, you will avoid the long lines and the waiting at the airport for available vehicles, instead your transportation will be scheduled and ready when you arrive at no extra costs. As a matter of fact ALL rates for private services are discounted 40% to 60% OFF the regular prices at the airport.
Here is how it works:
- You make your reservation online in a few easy steps with the new secure reservation system.
- Once the reservation process is complete, you will receive a confirmation, a receipt for your payment and arrival instructions by email.
- The day of your arrival we will monitor your flight so we will know of any delays and flight changes.
- Upon your arrival to the airport a representative will be waiting for you outside your arrival terminal with a sign.
- Your transportation will be ready and we will transfer you to your hotel safely and quickly.
- If you reserve a round trip service (recommended), then the day of your departure we will come to your hotel and pick you up with plenty of time to make your flight back home.
- There is a TOLL FREE # available where you can call to make changes or updates to your reservation.
There are 2 types of transportation services available from the Cancun International Airport, SHARED SHUTTLES (Colectivo) and PRIVATE SERVICES. (Sorry, no taxis available at the airport only Shuttles and Private Services)
The SHARED SHUTTLE SERVICE is a van or shuttle that leaves the airport every 20 minutes. For 1 or 2 passengers this is the most ECONOMICAL way to get to any location AS THE PRICE IS PER PERSON. Shuttles leave constantly every 20 minutes and make a maximum of 4 stops, which means that the shuttle may stop at a couple of places before it gets to your hotel. The SHARED SHUTTLE service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. so if your flight arrives or leaves within those times, then you will be OK to reserve the shuttle.
The PRIVATE SERVICE is a private car or van for up to 10 passengers. This is the MOST ECONOMICAL option for 3 to 10 passengers traveling together AS THE PRICE IS PER VEHICLE and NOT per person as the shared shuttle service. It is private so no one else gets in the van with you and we take you straight to your hotel with no stops in between. This service is highly recommended if you arrive late at night of leave early in the morning as this service is available 24hrs. In addition, this service takes you to ANY location in Cancun and Riviera Maya, including hotels, condos, private homes and rentals. So if you want to go straight to your hotel and don't want to wait any time at the airport, then the PRIVATE SERVICE is the best option for you.
To book your transfer go back to the top of this page and just enter the name of your hotel in STEP 1 and how many passengers in STEP 2. Please keep in mind that EVERYBODY including children count as a passenger. If your hotel is not on the list, then please enter the place where you are going, i.e. Cancun, Playa de Carmen, Tulum, etc. and then follow the directions.
