Transportation Already Included: Some large tour operators include the transportation in their packages. Please check with your travel agency if transportation is included or not. This type of transportation is provided by local ground operators which normally use BUSES to transport passengers to the different hotels. These buses leave the airport whenever they are full and drop off people in several hotels. If you don't want to wait or go from hotel to hotel, then you may want to reserve transportation on your own. Please check the TAXI and the PRIVATE services above.

Rental Cars: Passengers whom are going to be doing a lot of driving around (i.e. Business people, corporate, etc.) normally rent a car at the airport. All major rental car agencies have a desk or are located within the airport's grounds. Please check their websites for prices and availability. If you are coming on vacation and plan to spend most of the time relaxing at your hotel, then renting a car and have it parked at your hotel for the duration of your stay may not be a good idea. Public Buses: There are public buses that leave from the airport at a scheduled times. These buses go from the Cancun Airport to the bus stations in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. They DO NOT make stops in between. These buses are used mostly by employees and people that have a way from the bus stations to their final destination. Remember, public buses go from the airport to the bus stations. If you are going to a hotel this is not a convenient service for you.
